Painting Observations

After properly running around outside this morning and being suitably cranky and tired we tried some painting this afternoon. I’m not sure who was more skeptical – Alex or me – but we had a good hour of trying out different ways of playing with paint.

1) I tried to coax Alex into making an actual item (paper plate fishbowl to be continued tomorrow), with the result that we have a blue paper plate. Interestingly, Alex got concerned about where the light blue had gone after it was mixed with a large amount of dark blue paint. This led to some…

4) hand printing. Yes, the -dip your hand in paint, rub it all around, and make an imprint on some paper- kind. Success. Lots of cute hand prints. Even managed to get a couple from JenJen. And boy was I glad to have to super washable paints after this session.
